Its twin vertical chambers and angled cut-away front with ladder-style grooves allow bats to easily climb into their preferred chamber. This multi-species box features a hinged roof for inspection by licensed bat workers, secured by a removable screw. Handmade from durable, FSC certified timber, it provides excellent insulation. Bats are sensitive to smells, so only water-based paints should be used for any decorative finish.

The design allows bat droppings to fall to the floor, meaning the box does not require cleaning by a licensed bat worker. For optimal occupation, site the bat box high up, between 2.5m and 5m on a building or mature tree, using the pre-drilled recycled plastic hanger. An aspect receiving part sun (North, South West, or South East) is ideal. Placement near existing feeding or flight routes increases the likelihood of occupation.
