Application Advice

For best results, apply Ronseal uPVC Paint on a warm, dry day (above 10°C) with no rain expected. Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dirt, dust, and grease. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and allow to dry thoroughly.

• Surface Preparation:
  • For new or bare uPVC: Ensure smooth. Lightly sand with 180-220 grit sandpaper for an even finish.
  • For previously painted uPVC in good condition: Lightly sand with 240 grit sandpaper.
  • For flaking or cracked previously painted uPVC: Sand off loose paint with 120 grit sandpaper.
  • Always wear a face mask during sanding. Clean up dust with a damp cloth.
• Painting:
  • Stir the paint well before use.
  • Apply with a brush or foam roller.
  • Allow 2-4 hours drying time between coats.
  • Apply a second coat. A third coat may be needed when painting over a dark colour.
  • The final coat becomes waterproof in 1 hour.
