This welding and brazing rod is designed to weld all types of aluminum metal using a butane, propane, or oxy-acetylene torch. It provides a fusion weld for repairing aluminum cracks, breaks, radiator leaks, water pumps, alloy sumps, stripped threads, and boat propellers. This portable, cost-effective, and easy-to-use solution offers excellent corrosion resistance for an extended lifespan. It produces no flux or fumes and results in a weld harder than mild steel and up to four times stronger than aluminum.

Eliminate the need for expensive and difficult-to-use AC/DC TIG welders. The Lumiweld rods melt at 380 degrees Celsius, significantly lower than the melting point of aluminum (approximately 600 degrees Celsius).

Simple to Use

• CLEAN: Prepare the weld surface with the included stainless-steel brush.
• HEAT: Heat the workpiece to 380 degrees Celsius until it melts the Lumiweld rod. Do not heat the Lumiweld rod directly.
• COAT: Apply a thin layer of molten Lumiweld to the weld surface.
• ABRADE: Use the included abrading tool to work the oxides beneath the Lumiweld coating.
• FILL: Apply additional Lumiweld rod to build up a bead or fillet.
• COOL: Allow the surface and Lumiweld to cool naturally. Do not use water or other coolants.
• FINISH: Grind, file, machine, polish, paint, drill, or tap as required.
