Important Compatibility Notes

Please be aware of the following when replacing older models:

• The Kidde Firex KF20 (previously KF2 / 4973 / PADC240) replaces the Kidde 223/9HI.
• The Kidde Firex KF30 (previously KF3 / 4899 / H230CT) replaces the Kidde 323/9HI.
• While these new models can be electrically interlinked, they are not directly compatible with the old base plates for the 223/9HI and 323/9HI due to different connector block styles. For these specific older models, base plates must be swapped, and connectors replaced by a qualified electrician.
