Important Considerations

PCIe Bifurcation Requirement: This adapter does NOT natively support PCIe Bifurcation. A motherboard that supports PCIe Bifurcation (e.g., X4X4X4X4 or Hyper M.2 X16 mode) is REQUIRED for all four M.2 NVMe SSDs to be recognized. Without motherboard support, only the NVMe-1 port will function.

PCIe 4.0 Speed: To achieve the full PCIe 4.0 X4 (64Gbps) speed, your CPU, motherboard PCIe slot, and M.2 NVMe SSDs must all support PCIe 4.0. Note that Intel CPUs below 11th generation do not support PCIe 4.0.

Intel VROC License: Setting up Intel's RAID-on-CPU (VROC) requires a separate license purchase.

Initial Setup: Newly installed M.2 NVMe SSDs require initialization and formatting within the operating system before they can be recognized.

Mac Pro 5.1: This adapter is not compatible with Mac Pro 5.1 systems for Soft RAID setup.
