About this item
Fireangel ST-620 Thermal Optical Smoke Detector
The Fireangel ST-620 is the latest version of the combined Thermal Optical Detection process, featuring Thermoptek™ technology. This innovative detection method ensures a fast reaction and reliable detection of both slow smouldering fires and fast fire development with high temperature increases. The smoke detector is designed for reliability and failsafe operation.
This model was tested and checked by Stiftung Warentest in their 1/2013 edition, where it passed the fire test. The FireAngel ST-620-DET smoke detector achieved the highest score in the category 'Smoke detector with long-life battery' with a 'Good 1.9' rating, tying as the test winner. Stiftung Warentest specifically recommended smoke detectors with an integrated long-life battery.
The technology of permanently integrated 10-year batteries, first introduced by EPS in Germany as the VdS approved smoke detector in 2008, has now become a widely adopted industry trend.
