Troubleshooting and Installation Guide

If you experience a whistling or feedback effect, first adjust the microphone potentiometers with a screwdriver to reduce power until an acceptable level is reached. If the hissing persists, adjust the speaker volume. For low volume, increase the speaker knob first, then the microphone knob, prioritizing clear reception over proximity to feedback.

The confirmation tone on the outside station can be excluded by turning the switch to OFF.

Important Notes for Replacement:

• Before removing the old handset, carefully note the wire connections on each terminal. You may find it helpful to cut each wire leaving a small section of insulation with the visible color intact. Twist unused cores together to clearly identify them.
• For older systems with a cable featuring a colored core and a solid white core, mark each wire clearly using a marker or tape.
• Some systems utilize loop wiring. If your handset has two cables, ensure that any existing joints are left intact, as they may be used by other apartments within the system.
