The Flex-Hone tool, originally developed by Brush Research Manufacturing, is designed for deglazing cylinder walls and achieving a plateau finish. Introduced in 1972, this tool is also known by various nicknames such as ball hone, glaze breaker, and bead brush. It creates an oil-holding cross-hatch pattern and a true plateau finish, free from torn or folded metal. The Flex-Hone is suitable for all types and sizes of cylinders, with standard diameters ranging from 4mm to 36 inches.
