Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment

Barrettine’s wood protector is designed for rough, sawn, or smooth timber. It contains water repellent resins and a biocide film wood preserver to prevent the surface growth of mould and algae. This formulation helps to reduce decay, swelling, and twisting of wood. Pigments offer good UV fade resistance, protecting wood from UV damage.

This wood protector is an ideal treatment for outdoor timber structures such as sheds, fences, trellis, pergolas, and timber gazebos. As a wood sealer, it provides good water repellence and beading. It is an oil/spirit-based product for deeper penetration, leaving a transparent/translucent finish that allows the wood grain texture to remain visible. Please note: this product is not ideal for decking or garden furniture structures due to potential rub resistance limitations.

Directions for Use

• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Apply the treatment to clean, dry, and prepared wood surfaces using a brush or spray.
• Ensure even coverage, following the grain of the wood.
• Allow the first coat to dry for at least 4 hours before applying a second coat for enhanced protection.
• Once dry, the treated wood is ready for use and can be exposed to weather conditions.
