How to Use Bromine Granules

Follow these steps for optimal results:

• pH Maintenance: Ensure your spa water pH levels are maintained within the ideal range of 7.2 - 7.6. Adjust as necessary.
• Bromine Residual: Aim to maintain bromine residuals between 3-5mg/L (ppm).
• Initial Shock Dose: For freshly filled spas, apply an initial shock dose of 50mg/L (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/L (ppm) for 2 hours.
• Application: Apply the granules directly to your spa water while the spa pump(s) are running to ensure proper distribution.
• Post-Shock Bathing: If using for a shock treatment, allow 30 minutes before recommencing bathing.

Daily Dosage Rates

Refer to the following for daily dosing:

• For water volumes of 1000 litres (220 gallons):
  • To increase bromine level by 1ppm: add 3g of granules.
  • To increase bromine level by 3ppm: add 8g of granules.
  • To increase bromine level by 6ppm: add 16g of granules.
• For water volumes of 1500 litres (330 gallons):
  • To increase bromine level by 1ppm: add 4g of granules.
  • To increase bromine level by 3ppm: add 12g of granules.
  • To increase bromine level by 6ppm: add 24g of granules.
