About this item

AMARYLLIS BULB - Our waxed Amaryllis bulbs, is a live growing plant that needs no water to grow. These lovely Winter flowering houseplants are handmade with specially selected Hippeastrum bulbs that have stored enough energy to allow the bulbs to grow without needing watered. | IDEAL FOR GIFTING - With their clear plastic gift sleeve, these waxed Amaryllis bulbs make them an excellent Christmas or New Year gift for plant lovers or just a little something for that special someone. Available in a red or white waxed bulb, this eye catching flowering plant is guaranteed flowering for 3 to 6 weeks. Flower colour may vary. | GROWING CONDITIONS - Waxed Amaryllis bulbs are grown indoors, in a spot that receives bright indirect sunlight and a temperature between 7 and 25 degrees. Placing near a direct heat source can cause the bulb and wax to dry out. These plants can grow to an incredible 35 to 60cm in height depending on their growing conditions. | AFTER FLOWERING - Once the first stem of two has blossomed, cut the stem at the bottom, just above the bulb. This should give a third stem a chance to grow. If this does not occur, after 4 weeks from cutting the first stem, the bulb has finished flowering. Remove the metal base and wax and the bulb can then be planted into a pot with soil to allow it to root. Once rooted after about 9 months, the bulb will start to flower again.
