Installation Guide

Springs are a crucial component for a successful bird wire installation. Each section of wire should include at least one spring. Attach the spring directly to the support post and connect the other end to the wiring system using a bird wire crimp. Ensure springs are installed under tension to keep the 0.7mm wire rigid. A lighter tension may be used when installing with surface pads and adhesive.

Understanding Post & Wire Systems

Post and wire systems, also known as bird wire, provide a discreet method to deter pigeons from landing on ledges, parapets, ridges, and fencing. The system involves a wire installed between support posts, typically 90mm to 130mm above the ground. Springs provide the necessary tension and flexibility, while crimps secure the system. This method is effective for preventing perching but not for roosting or nesting sites.
