- •4800MHz DDR5 launch speeds deliver 1.87 times the bandwidth of the maximum standard DDR4 speeds of 3200 MHz. Although the actual latency of DDR5-4800 is longer than that of DDR4-3200, due to the improved efficiency of the channel, DDR5 still outperforms DDR4 in terms of effective bandwidth.
- •The DDR5 modules (DIMM) introduce voltage regulation on the module via an integrated power management circuit (PMIC), which allows cleaner power regulation and reduces the scope of DRAM power network management (PDN) on the motherboard for increased efficiency.
